Ed Sheeran: Before he was Famous

Here’s some recently unearthed video footage of Ed Sheeran performing to a crowd at Norwich’s Epic Studios near where Ed grew up. The video was filmed in 2010 and has only recently been found and uploaded to YouTube.

Ed gained a lot of notoriety that year with all the gigs he was doing and won the Norwich ‘Next Big Thing’ award – which clearly shows Norwich knows what’s going on in the world of music. Soon after this Ed was risen to stardom with his song The A Team.

As you can see from the video below, Ed explains how he came to write the song The A Team and the meaning behind the song. Ed works a lot with charities especially the crisis homeless charity, he met a girl there who explained what had been going on in her life – a life involving drugs, drink, prostitution and inevitably being homeless. Ed was inspired by this girl and wrote The A Team after hearing about her life and her being involved in ‘class A’ drugs.

Here is the video of Ed performing The A Team as brilliantly as always:

We also have a video of Ed performing ‘You Need Me, I Don’t Need You’ for you all to watch. Again showing how great Ed is performing by himself with the help of a loop pedal.
